Weddings · Mehndi and Haldi

Mehndi and Haldi,
the easy afternoon.

The most relaxed events of the weekend still need the right sound. Sher keeps the Mehndi warm and the Haldi bright, with compact setups that fit a backyard, a garden or a hotel lawn.

What we bring

One team, one run of show.

Henna takes hours and turmeric gets everywhere, so the music has to carry the mood without getting in the way. We start soft with lounge Bollywood, Sufi and acoustic sets, then build toward a family dance floor once the bride is free.

How the Mehndi and Haldi flows
01

Setting up quietly

We load in early and keep the footprint small, so the decor and the family photos come first.

02

Henna hours

Lounge Bollywood, Sufi and soft Punjabi while the artists work and guests eat and catch up.

03

Songs and games

Family songs, Dholki and games on the mic. We keep the energy up without drowning out conversation.

04

The floor opens

Once the henna is set, the volume comes up and the aunties lead the first real dance of the weekend.

The sound

What we
play.

Soft and warm to start: unplugged Bollywood, Sufi and acoustic covers. Then classic wedding songs and Punjabi favorites when the family is ready to move.

Mehndi and Haldi questions
Do we need a DJ for the Mehndi?

Not always, but music carries a long afternoon. Many couples book a compact DJ setup that plays lounge music during henna and opens a dance floor later.

Can you set up at our home?

Yes. We bring compact sound that fits a backyard or living room and keep cables and gear out of the way.

Can you do both the Haldi and Mehndi on the same day?

Yes. We often play a morning Haldi and an afternoon or evening Mehndi with one setup move in between.

Can you bring a Dholki player or singer?

Yes. Live Dholki or a vocalist is a beautiful fit for the Mehndi and can be added to any package.
