The reception,
at full volume.
The Reception is the main event: a grand entrance, a first dance, the toasts and a dance floor that should not empty until the last song. Sher brings every department to this one at full strength.

One team, one run of show.
We plan the Reception minute by minute with you and your planner: entrances, first dance, parent dances, toasts, cake and the big party sets. One host on the mic and one DJ reading the room means the night moves without a single dead moment.
- DJ and bilingual MC

What does an Indian wedding reception DJ include?
With Sher it includes the DJ, an MC, sound, dance floor lighting and the timeline. You can add uplighting, cold sparks, CO2, low fog, live musicians and photo and film.
How far ahead should we book our reception DJ?
Popular Saturdays book nine to twelve months ahead. Reach out as soon as you have your date and venue.
Can you do a grand entrance with cold sparks?
Yes. Cold spark fountains are approved at most hotels and ballrooms. We confirm with your venue in advance.
Do you take song requests?
Yes. You share must plays and do not plays on your planning page, and we take guest requests that fit the floor.
Can you play both Indian and Western music?
Yes. Most of our receptions blend Bollywood and Punjabi with hip hop, pop and house.
